Rituals

The power behind the meaning and purpose of your daily routine.

We all have a daily routine, like waking up every day at 6:30 am and taking an hour to check emails. But some of our habits that are part of that routine have an extraordinary power that helps us to recover energy and nourishes us in a way that we feel balanced and loved.

A ritual is a regular activity that has a meaning or purpose; an act that takes intention from your mind and heart. Even if you don’t believe in the traditional concept of religion or a God, you can still create a sense of sacred with daily and small rituals with the basic notion that the image or the person you are worshipping your body, mind and soul.

The truth about rituals is that no mould fits everyone to express an intention to the world as the representation of our true selves. We all have our tools within us, such as past experiences, the wisdom that we have gained through our lives, and meaningful moments to mould our psychic support system. The one that we can rely on those darkest times when we feel we have nothing left. We have ourselves.

You need to nourish your creativity. Listen to your inner voice, trust your gut and pursue your impulses.

Our rituals enable us to be more present, prepared and passionate. When we assume the responsibility to claim that power, we can transform our perceptions, perspectives, experiences and your reality by bringing meaning, learning and joy into our lives.

Georgina likes to light a candle or incense to relax, also she drinks herbal tea and reflects on her day with gratitude before going to bed. And for me, I always start my day with a cup of chai tea and seeing the effect the milk does when I pour it, also I started to practice yoga every morning which gives me the opportunity to reset and being grateful for being there for me.

For Georgina and I, finding time to do them is key. And you can do them too with the right attitude and perspective. Do your research, be introspective and find your daily joy in the simple things.
